The Peter Evans Quartet's first recording as a leader, featuring a combination of influences from recorded Jazz of the 50's and 60's, abrasive noise music, and wild and kinetic free improvisation. The compositions are made up of harmonic material lifted directly out of standards, with layers of melody and noise piled on top. The collective and individual improvisation on the material provided constitutes a second layer of tension. Peter Evans is a technically gifted trumpeter, who released his first album with a band consisting of Brandon Seabrook on guitar, Tom Blancarte on bass, and Kevin Shea on drums.

The album was recorded remotely between Baltimore and Austria in the spring of 2021 and released by Italian label Superpang. The album features 10 tracks and is recommended for fans of Peter Brötzmann.

Don Malfon's 'Mutable' is a totally acoustic sonic exploration that pushes the limits of the saxophone sound. The album consists of 8 tracks, each showcasing Malfon's extended techniques and innovative sound manipulation. Recorded in Bellvitge, Barcelona on May 23rd, 2022, the album is a masterpiece of contemporary saxophone. Malfon specializes in baritone and alto and is considered one of the outstanding sound innovators in free improvised music. The title 'Mutable' reflects the essence of Malfon's art, which is constantly mutating and generating 'fake' or 'alternative' sounds on the saxophone. This album is a must-listen for fans of free jazz and experimental music.
